रतनपुर (बिलासपुर)

Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary (Raigarh)

It is one of the welthiest areas as far as the biodiversity is concerned . It is the natural habitat of a number of rare species and is one of the exotic places. There are a lot of wildlife sanctuaries in Chattisgarh among which mention can be made of the Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary, Chattisgarh. Achanakmar Tiger Reserve (Mungeli)

Situated a mere 60 km. from Bilaspur, the scenic 914 sq. km. Achanakmar Tiger Reserve in Chattisgarh is a tropical moist deciduous and tropical dry deciduous forest. The reserve is also a part of the much larger Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve. Sal, bija, saja, haldu, teak, tinsa, dhawara, lendia, khamar and bamboo thrive here along with over 600 species of medicinal plants. The meandering Maniyari river that flows right through the heart of the reserve is its lifeline. Wild fauna found here includes the tiger, leopard, bison, flying squirrel, Indian giant squirrel, chinkara, wild dog, hyena, sambar, chital and over 150 species of birds. Even a short trek through this park easily reveals its extraordinary beauty and biodiversity

Vishnu Mandir (Janjgir-Champa)

 DISTRICT HEAD QUARTER The Vishnu Mandir were built by kings of Hayhay Vansh, near Bhima Talab of purani basti of Janjgir in 12 Century. It was being constructed in two parts to make a full temple, but both the parts were not assembled in time and as a result of it, both the parts of the temple are laying on the ground separately and still the temple is uncompleted. Due to this, the temple is also called as Nakata Mandir by local people.
